The Fox's Fire

I have always been fascinated by the mythology of different cultures, so I decided to do something inspired by the kitsune of Japanese folklore.
I wanted to emulate traditional woodblock prints by keeping the background simple and graphic, in contrast to the more rendered character. I think it creates an interesting effect, I wonder if it works?
